Europe has a problem compared to other large economies in the world. It is lagging behind. What to do about it? The new European Commission has changed priorities compared to the previous one - more on the economy, less on the climate. How does this suit the Czech Republic and how should it approach it? I think that the European Commission is moving in the right direction. On our behalf, we certainly welcome the fact that competitiveness is the first priority. It is an encouraging sign that, after the earlier pressure on ambition in climate policy, we are now looking more closely at how Czech and European industry is able to cope and finance. On the other hand, we see a potential risk in the fact that political reality has not changed as much as Ursula von der Leyen probably expected.
